Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Apigee Architect to lead the design, governance, and operations of enterprise API platforms using Apigee Hybrid and Apigee Edge. This role requires end-to-end ownership across API Architecture, Platform Engineering, and API Governance in a high-scale banking environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and govern Apigee Hybrid and Apigee Edge environments

- Define API architecture standards (proxy design, shared flows, versioning)

- Drive API lifecycle governance and lead design reviews

- Define reusable API policies, templates, and security standards (OAuth 2.0, JWT, mTLS)

- Design scalable API gateway architecture, traffic routing, and failover strategies

- Establish observability strategies (SLOs, SLIs, error budgets) and lead incident management

- Define CI/CD pipelines and GitOps-based delivery models

- Act as technical SPOC for stakeholders and present architecture roadmaps

Technical Skills :

- Expert level : Apigee Hybrid, Apigee Edge, API Proxy development, Policies, Shared Flows

- Security : OAuth 2.0, JWT, mTLS, Threat protection

- Platform/Tools : API Gateway architecture, Jenkins, GitHub, Terraform, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, NGINX

Qualifications :

- 10 - 15 years of IT experience with 4+ years in API architecture

- Experience in managing large-scale API platforms

- Banking/Financial services domain experience preferred
