API Test Engineer - Automation Testing

Description :

We're hiring an API Test Engineer to ensure seamless integration and reliability across our platform's backend services. You'll be responsible for validating APIs, automating regression cases, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain product quality at scale.

Responsibilities :

- Plan and execute comprehensive API test scenarios (functional, regression, performance).

- Validate REST/SOAP APIs using tools like Postman, Swagger, and SOAP UI.

- Write and execute SQL/PLSQL queries for backend data validation.

- Work with DevOps and development teams to integrate automated test scripts into CI/CD pipelines.

- Identify defects, perform root-cause analysis, and track resolution through tools like JIRA/ALM.

- Contribute to automation frameworks and improve test coverage and reporting.

Requirements :

- 3-4 years of experience in API testing and backend validation.

- Strong command over SQL, Postman, and test automation.

- Exposure to AWS, BrowserStack, or related testing tools is a plus.

- Proven ability to identify defects early and improve QA efficiency.

- Excellent communication, collaboration, and attention to detail.
