Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and execute API test automation scripts using Postman and Karate.

- Create and maintain automation frameworks for efficient regression and integration testing.

- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to understand API specifications and ensure comprehensive test coverage.

- Perform functional, regression, performance, and security testing of APIs.

- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.

- Log, track, and manage defects using JIRA and participate in defect triage meetings.

- Analyze and debug issues by reading and interpreting AWS application logs and other monitoring tools.

- Work with MongoDB to validate data integrity and ensure backend correctness.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 5 to 7 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on API automation testing.

- Strong hands-on experience with Postman (including scripting with JavaScript) and Karate framework.

- Proficiency in Java or JavaScript programming.

- Experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks (data-driven, BDD, hybrid, etc.).

- Working knowledge of JIRA for defect management and agile workflows.

- Ability to read and interpret application logs in AWS CloudWatch or related AWS services.

- Basic knowledge of MongoDB writing queries, validating data, and understanding schema structures.

- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or Bitbucket pipelines.

- Strong understanding of RESTful API principles and HTTP methods.
