We are looking for an experienced API Test Automation Engineer to design, develop, and execute robust API testing solutions for enterprise applications.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in API automation, functional and integration testing, backend validation, and CI/CD practices, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and reliable software.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain automated API test frameworks for REST and SOAP services.

- Create, execute, and maintain functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end API test cases.

- Validate API responses, business logic, authentication, and data integrity.

- Perform backend validation using SQL queries and database testing techniques.

- Develop reusable automation scripts using Java and API automation frameworks.

- Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.

- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to understand requirements and define test strategies.

- Identify, log, and track defects using defect management tools such as JIRA.

- Perform root cause analysis for defects and support issue resolution.

- Prepare test reports, automation metrics, and documentation.

- Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and release activities.

- Ensure adherence to QA best practices, coding standards, and automation guidelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Full-Time BE/B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA, MS, or M.Sc (Mandatory).

- 5-10 years of experience in Software Testing with strong API automation expertise.

- Hands-on experience in API testing using REST Assured, Postman, ReadyAPI, or similar tools.

- Strong programming skills in Java.

- Experience testing RESTful and SOAP web services.

- Strong SQL skills for backend/database validation.

- Experience with automation frameworks such as TestNG or JUnit.

- Knowledge of API authentication mechanisms including OAuth 2.0, JWT, and Basic Authentication.

- Experience with version control systems such as Git.

- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.

- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as JIRA.

- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
