We are seeking an experienced API Architect to design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance API solutions for enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in RESTful API design, microservices architecture, and API lifecycle management, with hands-on experience in modern backend technologies and API gateways.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and define enterprise-grade RESTful APIs following industry best practices.

- Establish API standards for resource modeling, versioning, pagination, error handling, authentication, and security.

- Architect scalable microservices-based solutions and integration frameworks.

- Develop and review APIs using Java (Spring Boot), Node.js (NestJS/Express), or Python.

- Define API governance, documentation, and lifecycle management using OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.

- Design and implement API gateway policies for routing, authentication, rate limiting, caching, and monitoring.

- Collaborate with product, engineering, and integration teams to deliver reusable and secure API services.

- Conduct architecture reviews, enforce coding standards, and mentor development teams.

- Optimize API performance, scalability, and reliability across distributed systems.

Required Skills:

- Strong experience in RESTful API design and enterprise API architecture.

- Expertise in Java (Spring Boot), Node.js (NestJS/Express), or Python.

- Deep understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, WebSockets, REST principles, and API security.

- Hands-on experience with OpenAPI/Swagger specifications and API documentation.

- Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems.

- Experience with API Gateways such as Kong, Apigee, AWS API Gateway, Azure API Management, or similar.

- Knowledge of authentication and authorization standards including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and JWT.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, containerization, and cloud-native deployments.
