Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Android Framework / AOSP Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Android Framework development, AOSP architecture, HAL, and system-level debugging.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience working with AOSP/Android Framework, with strong Java programming skills and a solid understanding of Android internals. Experience in the Automotive Infotainment domain is preferred but not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, customize, and maintain Android Framework and AOSP components.
- Work closely with Android system architecture, framework services, and underlying hardware abstraction layers.
- Analyze and troubleshoot issues across AOSP, Android Framework, HAL, and system components.
- Work with Android HAL and understand the interaction between framework, native layers, and hardware.
- Analyze and resolve CTS/VTS failures and compliance issues.
- Debug complex Android system-level issues and identify root causes independently.
- Work with SEPolicy, Android configuration files, BoardConfig files, and other platform-level configurations.
- Perform code analysis, debugging, issue reproduction, and root-cause analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including BSP, middleware, hardware, and application teams.
- Contribute to improving platform stability, performance, and reliability.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in AOSP / Android Framework development.
- Strong experience with Android Framework architecture and internals.
- Strong programming skills in Java.
- Good understanding of Android HAL and AOSP architecture.
Hands-on knowledge of:
- Android Framework
- AOSP
- Android HAL
- SEPolicy / SELinux
- Android configuration files
- BoardConfig / Board configuration
- CTS / VTS
- Strong experience in debugging and troubleshooting Android platform-level issues.
- Ability to independently investigate problems, perform root-cause analysis, and implement fixes.
- Good understanding of Android system components and their interaction with hardware/software layers.
Good to Have:
- Experience with C/C++ programming.
- Experience in the Automotive / Infotainment domain.
- Exposure to Android Automotive OS (AAOS).
- Experience working with automotive BSPs, middleware, or vehicle-specific Android platforms.
- Experience with Android platform bring-up, customization, or porting.
- Experience resolving complex CTS/VTS and system integration issues.
