Ansible Subject Matter Expert - Linux Administration

Description :

- Manage and configure Ansible Tower / AWX, including :

1. Job templates

2. Inventories

3. Credentials

4. RBAC and access control

5. Workflow approvals

- Automate Linux server provisioning, patching, configuration, and compliance.

- Integrate Ansible Tower with CI/CD pipelines and ITSM tools where required.

- Support automation for Azure and GCP environments, including VM and service configurations.

- Troubleshoot and resolve automation failures, infrastructure issues, and deployment errors.

- Ensure best practices for :

1. Playbook reusability

2. Secure secrets management

3. Version control (Git)

4. Logging and auditing

- Work with platform, cloud, DevOps, and security teams to implement automation standards.

- Create documentation, SOPs, and automation runbooks for operational teams.

Required Skills :

- Strong experience in Ansible automation (4+ years preferred).

- Hands-on expertise in Ansible Tower / AWX.

- Strong knowledge of Linux administration (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu).

Good understanding of :

- Jinja2 templates

- Ansible roles, collections, and modules

- Experience working in Azure and GCP environments.

- Knowledge of networking basics, SSH, firewall, and system troubleshooting.

- Familiarity with Git version control.

Good to Have :

- Exposure to Kubernetes / Docker.

- Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps).

- Experience in monitoring/logging tools.

- Cloud certifications (Azure / GCP) are a plus.
