About the Role :

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Azure DevOps Engineer to join our team on a subcontract basis. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in infrastructure automation, cloud platform management, and CI/CD pipeline development, with a strong emphasis on Ansible Automation Platform and playbook writing.

This role will involve designing and implementing robust cloud infrastructure solutions on Microsoft Azure, enabling automation-driven deployments, and ensuring reliability, scalability, and security across enterprise environments. The engineer will be responsible for leveraging Terraform, ARM templates, and Ansible playbooks to automate provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management.

In addition, the role requires practical experience in certificate management automation, OpenShift, and Databricks integration into CI/CD workflows. The candidate should be comfortable working in fast-paced environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving automation-first approaches to support continuous delivery and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, implement, and manage scalable Azure cloud infrastructure to meet enterprise needs.

- Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks for automation of infrastructure and application provisioning.

- Leverage Ansible Automation Platform to build reusable, reliable automation frameworks.

- Automate infrastructure deployments using Terraform or Azure ARM templates.

- Implement automation for certificate management and work with OpenShift environments

for application hosting.

- Build, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines covering build, test, and deployment stages.

- Integrate Databricks notebooks and workflows into CI/CD pipelines to enable automated data

workflows.

- Ensure adherence to best practices for version control, code quality, and testing within

DevOps processes.

- Implement and manage monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions to ensure system

reliability.

- Oversee the lifecycle management of infrastructure and data pipelines, ensuring smooth

operations.

- Collaborate with developers, architects, and operations teams to deliver automation-driven

solutions.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in cloud deployments, automation scripts, and pipeline

executions.

Required Skills & Experience :

- Expert-level proficiency in Ansible and Ansible Automation Platform, with strong hands-on

experience in playbook writing, roles, and modules.

- Proven track record in Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure design and management.

- Hands-on experience with Terraform and/or Azure ARM templates for infrastructure

automation.

- Practical knowledge of automation in certificate management and exposure to OpenShift

environments.

- Strong working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, including build, test, and deployment processes.

- Experience integrating Databricks notebooks and workflows into CI/CD pipelines.

- Familiarity with version control systems (Git/GitHub/GitLab) and modern code quality/testing practices.

- Implementation experience with monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in automation and deployment processes.

Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.

- 7-15 years of professional experience in DevOps, infrastructure automation, and Azure cloud

engineering.

- Prior subcontracting or consulting experience in enterprise-scale projects is a plus.
