We are looking for a talented and experienced Android OS Developer with 5+ years of experience to join our core engineering team. In this role, you will be a key player in supporting and collaborating on Android OS development with our external vendor partners. You will apply your deep technical knowledge to debug and resolve critical, system-level issues and will be responsible for creating robust test applications to ensure the stability and quality of the OS platform. This position is ideal for a hands-on developer who thrives on solving complex problems and working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- OS Development Support : Collaborate closely with external vendors to support the development and integration of new features and functionalities into the Android OS.

- Vendor Coordination : Serve as a technical liaison, providing guidance, conducting code reviews, and ensuring that vendor-delivered work meets our architectural standards and quality metrics.

- Critical Debugging : Investigate, analyze, and resolve complex bugs and performance bottlenecks at the Android OS and framework level, using tools like adb, logcat, and systrace.

- Test Application Development : Design, develop, and maintain a suite of test applications and frameworks to validate new features and ensure the overall stability and performance of the Android OS.

- Code Quality : Ensure all code written and reviewed adheres to best practices, is well-documented, and is optimized for performance and maintainability.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work with internal QA, hardware, and product teams to diagnose issues, define testing strategies, and deliver a seamless user experience.

- Documentation : Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for developed code, test plans, and debugging procedures.

Qualifications :

- Experience : A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Android development, with a strong focus on Android OS and system-level work.

- Technical Skills :

1. Proficient in Java and Kotlin.

2. Solid understanding of the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) or Android Automotive Operating System (AAOS) and the Android system architecture.

3. Experience with Android build systems and a variety of debugging tools.

4. Proven experience in developing and implementing unit tests, integration tests, and UI tests.

- Problem-Solving : Strong analytical and debugging skills with a track record of resolving complex, low-level technical issues.

- Communication : Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Education :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
