Job Description :
We are looking for an Android Middleware Architect with strong experience in C++ middleware and automotive software architecture for Android, Linux, and QNX-based environments. The role involves designing scalable middleware and shared infrastructure for next-generation software-defined vehicles, with ownership of HAL, OTA, data persistency, diagnostics, and e-cockpit platforms.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and lead high-performance C++ middleware for Android, Linux, and QNX-based automotive platforms.
- Define middleware architecture, interfaces, APIs, and reusable shared services for next-generation e-cockpit and SDV platforms.
- Design and integrate HAL and middleware layers connecting automotive hardware and platform software with Android/Linux/QNX environments.
- Own architecture and implementation of OTA update, data persistency, diagnostics, and platform services.
- Develop scalable and reliable middleware components for multi-domain and distributed automotive systems.
- Drive integration between Android framework/platform components and underlying embedded systems.
- Define architecture standards for performance, scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability.
- Analyze and resolve complex system-level issues involving IPC, inter-process communication, memory, performance, and platform integration.
- Collaborate with Android, embedded, BSP, hardware, cybersecurity, cloud, and vehicle engineering teams.
- Lead technical design reviews, architecture decisions, and resolution of complex integration challenges.
- Support platform modernization and migration initiatives across Android, Linux, and QNX.
- Mentor senior engineers and contribute to development standards, reusable components, and engineering best practices.
Required Skills:
- 7 - 12 years of experience in automotive embedded software, middleware development, or software architecture.
- Strong hands-on expertise in C++ and embedded/middleware development.
- Strong experience designing automotive middleware for Android, Linux, and/or QNX.
- Experience with Android Automotive / Android platform integration and Android HAL.
- Strong understanding of HAL, IPC, middleware frameworks, system services, and platform integration.
- Experience with OTA, data persistency, vehicle diagnostics, or related automotive platform infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of embedded Linux/QNX and system-level software architecture.
- Experience developing scalable, high-performance, and reusable platform components.
- Strong debugging and performance-analysis skills at system and middleware level.
- Understanding of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, SOME/IP, or Ethernet is preferred.
- Experience with Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV), connected vehicle, or e-cockpit platforms is preferred.
- Strong technical leadership, architecture, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
