Android Engineer - OTT Platform

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Software Developer - Frontend (Android) to join our core technology team in Mumbai. This role will be instrumental in building and scaling Mythik's D2C OTT platform, ensuring world-class user experiences through smooth performance, creative UI, and strong technical architecture.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain native Android applications for Mythik's OTT platform.

- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to implement engaging and interactive UI/UX.

- Optimize app performance, responsiveness, and scalability for large-scale user bases.

- Ensure seamless integration with backend APIs and content delivery systems.

- Manage app releases, updates, and deployment through Google Play Store.

- Implement automated testing and quality assurance processes.

- Continuously research and integrate modern Android development practices and libraries.

- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with a focus on speed and reliability.

Must-Have Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

- 4-6 years of hands-on experience in native Android app development and design.

- Deep understanding of Android SDK, architecture components, and performance tuning.

- Proven ability to implement intuitive, interactive, and visually rich UI/UX.

- Experience working with large-scale OTT or gaming platforms.

- Track record of publishing and managing apps on the Google Play Store.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Familiarity with automated test frameworks and CI/CD pipelines for Android.

Desirable Skills :

- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.

- Exposure to video streaming, CDN integration, or media player frameworks.

- Understanding of performance analytics and crash monitoring tools (e.g., Firebase, AppDynamics).

- Passion for entertainment, storytelling, and innovative user experiences.
