Android Developer - OTT Applications

Key Responsibilities :

- Define the technical architecture and system design for Android TV OTT applications, platform and frameworks.

- Lead the development of core components, libraries, and modules used across Android TV solutions.

- Evaluate and integrate third-party SDKs, middleware, and services.

- Collaborate with Product Managers, UX/UI designers, Architects and external partners to drive highly scalable technical Solutions .

- Collaborate with Android TV original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to facilitate new device launches and Android version upgrades.

- Optimize performance, memory usage, and responsiveness of Android TV applications.

- Ensure security, privacy, and compliance with platform guidelines.

- Drive innovation by staying updated with the latest in Android TV, AOSP, and smart TV technologies.

- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Android development teams.

- Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and ensure adherence to architectural principles.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to define scalable and maintainable technology roadmaps.

- Define and constantly review Technical KPI's for Product Experience to ensure best inclass customer experience.

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

- 6-10 years of experience in software development

- Deep expertise in Android TV, Leanback library, ExoPlayer, and custom launcher development.

- Strong understanding of Android system internals, AOSP, and HAL layers (preferred).

- Proven experience in designing and building scalable architecture for Android TV applications.

- Solid knowledge of Java, Kotlin, and Android SDK.

- Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing, and release processes.

- Strong problem-solving skills, debugging experience, and performance profiling knowledge.
