Job Description :
- Build and ship features in the District Android app across ticketing, events, dining and payments.
- Write clean, readable Kotlin/Java that your teammates can maintain and build on.
- Translate designs and product requirements into smooth, responsive UI following Material Design.
- Integrate REST APIs and handle data with Retrofit/OkHttp, JSON parsing and local storage (Room).
- Handle real-world scale and edge cases loading states, errors, offline behaviour, and the high-traffic moments when a big event or ticket drop goes live.
- Debug, profile and fix issues; keep the app fast, stable and crash-free.
- Take part in code reviews, both giving and receiving feedback.
- Work closely with product, design and backend to scope and deliver features end to end.
- Chip away at tech debt and push for clean architecture and best practices.
- Stay current with Android updates, tools and patterns, and bring good ideas back to the team.
Ideal Candidate :
- Strong early-career Android Developer Profile with hands-on Kotlin/Java and Android SDK experience.
- Must have 02 years of experience building Android apps, with at least 6 months of hands-on experience (internship experience counts for freshers).
- Must have built two or more apps; anything live on the Play Store.
- Must have a solid grip on Kotlin and/or Java and the Android SDK.
- Must be familiar with the usual toolkit Retrofit/OkHttp, RxJava or Coroutines, Gson, Jetpack/Arch components, and Room.
- Must be comfortable with an app architecture pattern (MVVM) and Git.
- Must have a feel for good vs bad design and common mobile UX patterns.
- Must come from a strong B2C product company.
- Mandatory (Education) : Must have a B.Tech from a Tier-1 college - IITs, NITs, BITS Pilani, IIITs.
