Android Architect - Automotive Infotainment

About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced Android Architect Automotive Infotainment to lead end-to-end system and software architecture for next-generation automotive infotainment platforms including Cockpit Domain Controller (CDC), In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI), and Rear Seat Entertainment (RSE) systems.

The ideal candidate should possess deep expertise in embedded systems architecture, Android Automotive platforms, multimedia systems, and vehicle integration with strong focus on scalability, performance, reliability, and automotive safety compliance.

This role requires strong architectural leadership in defining infotainment platform strategies across hardware, middleware, Android frameworks, and application layers while driving technical excellence across cross-functional engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities :

Define and own end-to-end architecture for automotive infotainment platforms including :

- Cockpit Domain Controller (CDC)

- In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI)

- Rear Seat Entertainment (RSE)

- Architect scalable and high-performance Android-based HMI systems for automotive platforms.

Lead architecture design across :

- Embedded Systems

- Platform Software

- Middleware

- Android Frameworks

- Application Layers

- Vehicle Integration Interfaces

Drive system-level architecture decisions focusing on :

- Scalability

- Reliability

- Safety

- Performance Optimization

- Platform Reusability

Define and monitor platform KPIs including :

- Boot Time

- Latency

- UI Responsiveness

- Resource Utilization

- Multimedia Performance

- Work closely with hardware, BSP, middleware, HMI, and integration teams to ensure seamless system interoperability.

- Lead architecture reviews, technical governance, and solution evaluations.

- Support debugging, root cause analysis, and performance optimization activities.

- Evaluate and collaborate with suppliers, partners, and external technology vendors.

- Drive best practices around software quality, diagnostics, and fault handling.

- Mentor engineering teams and provide technical leadership across infotainment programs.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 12 to 22 years of experience in Embedded Systems Engineering.

- Minimum 8+ years of experience in Automotive Infotainment domain.

- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Architecture or Technical Leadership roles.
