We are seeking highly skilled Android AOSP Developers to join our team and contribute to platform development for Android-based automotive and embedded systems.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Android internals, system services, and build frameworks, with the ability to customise, optimise, and maintain Android system components.
Key Responsibilities :
- Customise, build, and maintain Android AOSP for embedded and automotive platforms.
- Work across framework, middleware, and native service layers to develop and optimise system functionality.
- Debug and optimise Android system performance, including boot time improvements and system stabilisation.
- Collaborate closely with hardware, BSP, and application development teams to ensure end-to-end system integration.
- Perform system validation, debugging, and enhancement at both framework and native levels.
- Develop and modify configuration files such as BoardConfig.mk and init.rc for device bring-up and custom platform requirements.
- Implement and customise HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer) components to support new sensors, peripherals, and automotive features.
- Ensure compliance with Android CTS/VTS requirements and address compatibility or certification issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- Strong expertise in AOSP build system, Android Framework, and System Services.
- Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, and C++, with strong experience in a Linux development environment.
- Hands-on experience in device bring-up, system configuration, and platform customisation.
- Experience with HAL development and integration of custom hardware modules.
- Familiarity with VHAL, Android Automotive OS, or custom automotive hardware integration.
- Solid debugging skills with tools like ADB, Logcat, GDB, and performance profiling utilities.
- Understanding of CTS/VTS frameworks and ability to debug and resolve test failures
