Job Description

Role Overview :


The IT Infrastructure & Security Manager will oversee all internal IT systems, networks, and security. This hands-on role focuses on ensuring reliable connectivity, strong security across devices and networks, and standardized IT processes. The manager will also drive documentation, monitoring, and reporting while building a scalable IT setup that can support the companys growth to 500+ users.


Key Responsibilities :


1. Infrastructure & Systems Management :


- Oversee and maintain all on-prem IT assets - switches, routers, Wi-Fi, servers, and user devices.


- Ensure reliable LAN/WAN setup, VPN, and remote connectivity.


- Manage hardware lifecycle (procurement, tagging, deployment, and disposal).


- Maintain backups and disaster recovery plans.


2. Network Operations :


- Monitor and optimize network performance; ensure redundancy and uptime.


- Configure and maintain VLANs, DHCP, DNS, and access control.


- Troubleshoot connectivity issues quickly and implement proactive monitoring.


- Coordinate with ISPs and vendors for service quality and escalations


3. Security & Compliance :


- Implement and enforce security policies: endpoint protection, MFA, patching, and access management.


- Monitor network traffic for unusual behavior or potential breaches.


- Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation.


- Define and document IT policies (passwords, device usage, BYOD, etc.).


- Ensure compliance readiness for frameworks like ISO 27001 or SOC2 (as future goals).


4. Automation & Process Improvement :


- Use PowerShell/Bash scripts to automate recurring admin tasks.


- Introduce basic monitoring dashboards (device health, bandwidth usage, patch status).


- Optimize IT ticket resolution and user support workflow.


5. Team & Vendor Management :


- Supervise IT support staff or vendors handling device setup and troubleshooting.


- Manage procurement, renewals, and vendor SLAs.


- Train users on IT hygiene and security best practices


What were looking for :


- 8 - 12 years of experience in IT Infrastructure, Network Administration, or Systems Security.


- Strong knowledge of :

  • Network protocols, firewalls, and routing/switching.
  • Windows & macOS environments.
  • Active Directory / Azure AD, M365 / Google Workspace.

- Proven experience managing IT for a 200500 user organization.


- Good understanding of security tools: EDR, VPN, firewalls, MDM, and backups.


Preferred :


- Basic scripting knowledge in PowerShell or Bash for automation.


- Experience with asset management or ITSM tools (Jira, Freshservice, etc.).


- Certifications like CCNA, CompTIA Security+, ITIL, or Microsoft Certified: Systems Admin.
