About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced AMS Presales / Solutions Architect to support our sales teams in designing, positioning, and presenting high-quality Application Managed Services solutions to prospective clients. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, presales acumen, solution design capability, and customer engagement skills.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze customer requirements, develop solution architectures, estimate costs, and prepare RFI/RFP responses. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of AMS delivery models, ITIL processes, custom application development, and modern technology stacks.

Key Responsibilities :

Presales & Solutioning :

- Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer needs and articulate tailored AMS and custom application solutions.

- Lead solution design activities including architecture definition, service scope creation, and delivery model design.

- Prepare high-quality responses for RFI/RFPs, client proposals, and proactive solution pitches.

- Conduct client workshops, discovery sessions, and technical presentations.

Proposal Development & Estimation :

- Develop detailed effort, cost, and timeline estimates for AMS and application development/support engagements.

- Build solution frameworks, pricing models, and supporting documentation.

- Work closely with delivery and practice teams to validate solution feasibility and ensure alignment with organizational capabilities.

Client Engagement :

- Present solutions and proposals during customer meetings and demonstrations (onsite and online).

- Address customer queries, clarify technical details, and refine solutions based on feedback.

- Act as a trusted advisor to customers throughout the presales cycle.

Technical Expertise & Best Practices :

- Apply deep knowledge of application development, maintenance, and support technologies (e.g., Java, .NET, Python, cloud-native stacks).

- Ensure alignment with ITIL processes and industry best practices in all proposed solutions.

- Identify opportunities for application modernization, optimization, automation, and cost reduction.

Transition & Portfolio Analysis :

- Contribute to transition planning and support smooth handover of opportunities to delivery teams.

- Conduct application portfolio assessments to identify areas for consolidation, improvement, or enhancement.

- Support internal reviews, governance processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience :

Education :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Professional Experience :

- 6-8 years of total experience in IT services/application services.

- 3-7 years of hands-on experience in AMS presales, solution architecture, or technical consulting.

- Proven track record in building AMS or custom application solutions for medium to large enterprise clients.

- Experience in preparing RFI/RFP responses and customer-facing solution presentations.

Technical Skills :

- Strong understanding of application development and maintenance lifecycles.

- Knowledge of modern application stacks (Java, .NET, Python, Node.js, microservices, APIs).

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native architectures.

- Expertise in ITIL frameworks and AMS delivery models.

- Ability to create architecture diagrams, estimation models, and solution documents.
