Job Description :

We are seeking a highly experienced, visionary, and technically exceptional Software Development Engineer IV (SDE 4) to join our OnProperty EDG team. In this senior individual contributor role, you will lead the architectural design, development, and scaling of our next-generation hospitality solutions using the modern .NET ecosystem.

You will be a technical anchordriving engineering excellence, mentoring engineering teams, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver robust, high-performance, and mission-critical "on-property" management systems for global hotel brands.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Technical Leadership & Architecture :

- Lead the architectural design and implementation of highly scalable, resilient, and secure microservices and distributed systems within the OnProperty EDG platform.

- Champion modern software engineering practices, ensuring high code quality, robust test automation, and seamless CI/CD pipeline integration.

- Evaluate emerging technologies, frameworks, and .NET features to continuously modernize the tech stack and improve system performance.

2. Product Delivery & Execution :

- Translate complex business requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications and high-level design documents.

- Write clean, maintainable, and highly optimized code, leading by example for the engineering organization.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex, low-level technical challenges, performance bottlenecks, and system outages in production environments.

3. Collaboration & Mentorship :

- Act as a technical mentor to junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, psychological safety, and innovation.

- Partner closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, DevOps, and Security teams to align technical roadmaps with business objectives.

- Influence engineering strategies and cross-team alignments across the broader Amadeus organization.

Qualifications & Skills :

1. Technical Requirements :

- Expertise in .NET : Deep, hands-on experience with .NET Core / .NET 6+ and C#. Proficient with modern language features, asynchronous programming, and memory management.

- Architecture Patterns : Proven track record in designing distributed systems, microservices architectures, and event-driven systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Azure Service Bus).

- Database & Storage : Strong experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL solutions, including database optimization and data modeling.

- Cloud & DevOps : Extensive experience building cloud-native applications (preferably AWS or Azure) and utilizing containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.

2. Experience & Leadership :

- Proven Track Record : Typically requires 8+ years of professional software development experience, with significant time spent operating at a senior or principal engineer level.

- Domain Knowledge : Experience in hospitality technology, Property Management Systems (PMS), or enterprise-scale transactional platforms is highly preferred.

- Communication : Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
