Summary of the Role :

As a Platform Engineering Engineer 3, youll play a key role in ensuring the availability, performance, and security of Amadeus enterprise database systems.

Youll work with Oracle technologies to support mission-critical applications that power global travel experiences.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams across Development, Product, and Architecture, youll help deliver reliable, high-quality solutions that support millions of travelers worldwide.

In This Role Youll :

- Plan, document, install, and configure database servers with a clear focus on high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery across multiple sites.

- Create and maintain automated backup solutions, including regular validation of restore processes.

- Design and support monitoring tools for hundreds of databases, including multi-terabyte platforms across various data environments.

- Support database environments throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), and contribute to the development of standards, procedures, and policies.

- Collaborate with operational teams to troubleshoot issues, provide performance tuning support, and ensure continuous improvement of database services.

About The Ideal Candidate :

Basic Qualifications and Skills :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications And Skills :

- At least 8 years of experience working with Oracle database technologies (e., Oracle 12c/19c, GoldenGate, Exadata) in a resilient enterprise environment.

- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, and experience with MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server (20172022), Postgres, or other database technologies.

- Certification in one or more database platforms is preferred.

- Proficiency in scripting languages and database tuning tools, with the ability to troubleshoot complex performance issues.

- Understanding of hardware, operating systems (e., Red Hat Enterprise Linux), storage technologies, and capacity management principles.

Join the CI/CD Pipeline & GitOps Platform (CGP) team at Amadeus, where youll help build and maintain scalable, resilient, and cloud-agnostic platforms that support over 6000 developers across 20 global locations.

Youll contribute to the development and evolution of CI/CD and GitOps tools, enabling efficient software delivery and cloud migration.

In This Role Youll :

- Enhance and maintain CI/CD and GitOps platforms using Bitbucket and Jenkins Pipeline, supporting cloud operations and deployments.

- Contribute to plugin development and integration with the Amadeus ecosystem, ensuring platform reliability and scalability.

- Automate key processes to simplify deployment, version upgrades, and feature rollouts across the platform.

- Ensure platform stability through monitoring, alerting, and change management practices.

- Collaborate in Agile (Scrum) and SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) environments, supporting cloud migration initiatives in Microsoft Azure.

About You :

- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Bitbucket, Jenkins Pipeline, and OpenGrok.

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e., Microsoft Azure) and distributed systems.

- Understanding of DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles, including automation, monitoring, and incident management.

- Ability to work collaboratively in Agile teams and contribute to global initiatives.

- Effective communicator with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
