Data Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design, develop and maintain data pipelines for our organization.

The successful candidate will have expertise in data modeling, Python programming, Apache Spark, Azure Synapse, Data Factory and Lake house architecture.

Knowledge of Apache Kafka and experience with streaming data pipelines will be considered a plus.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop and maintain data pipelines using modern technologies and frameworks.

- Develop and maintain data models using Star Schema for efficient and optimal data processing.

- Write and maintain Python code to manipulate and analyze large data sets.

- Utilize Apache Spark for efficient data processing and analysis.

- Work with Azure Synapse and Data Factory for data integration and orchestration.

- Implement and maintain Lake house architecture for our data platform.

- Work with Apache Kafka for real-time data streaming and processing.

- Develop and maintain streaming data pipelines (if experienced).

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement data engineering solutions that meet business needs.

Requirements :

- Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Data Engineer.

- Strong knowledge of data modeling and Star Schema.

- Strong proficiency in Python programming language.

- Strong proficiency in SQL with experience writing complex and optimized queries.

- Ability to work with SQL-based data transformation and analysis as part of data engineering workflows.

- Experience working with Apache Spark for big data processing.

- Experience with Azure Synapse and Data Factory for data integration and orchestration.

- Familiarity with Lake house architecture.

- Knowledge of Apache Kafka for real-time data streaming (nice to have).

- Experience with streaming data pipelines (nice to have).

- Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to think creatively and logically.

- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
