Alive Wellness Clinics - Head of Information Technology

Job Overview :

We are reimagining D2C in India. This isnt just another engineering job. Youll be the technical backbone of the company. Youll own delivery, define architecture, lead the team, and make product happen.

Responsibilities :

- Lead development of new features, improvements, and technical debt clean-up.

- Build and manage a microservices structure that supports fast scaling.

- Drive system design, performance, database optimization, and caching strategies.

- Work directly with the Founders and Product Team to align sprint priorities with business goals.

- Break large tech projects into milestones and track delivery across sprints.

- Coordinate with UI/UX team to bring beautiful, intuitive interfaces to life.

- Actively recruit, mentor, and manage developers (in-house and freelance).

- Conduct code reviews, define best practices, and lead by example.

- Recommend the right tools, stacks, and frameworks to support long-term growth.

- Evaluate performance monitoring tools (Sentry, New Relic, etc.) and maintain system health.

What We Expect From You :

- Strong understanding of software architecture, performance optimization, and API design.

- Experience in deploying on AWS, Vercel, Heroku, or equivalent.

- Prior experience with MongoDB/PostgreSQL, Git, and test-driven development.

- Ability to think like a Product Owner while working as an Engineer.

- Youve worked in startups or fast-paced product teams and handled product from scratch.

Bonus Skills (Good to Have) :

- Exposure to AI/ML integrations.

- Prior work in healthtech, e-commerce, or SaaS.

- Built and scaled platforms with high concurrency or large user base.
