We're offering an exciting opportunity for an Aladdin OMS Consolidation Consultant to join a high-impact project with a leading bank! You'll play a pivotal role in the consolidation of approximately 9,000 compliance rules into a single, third-party Order Management System (OMS) platform.
This is a hands-on role that demands strong technical expertise, meticulous attention to detail, and a collaborative spirit to work effectively with risk, compliance, and technical teams.
Role Overview :
Key Responsibilities :
Rule Development & Management :
- Provide rule advisory and conduct macro/token testing within the Aladdin platform.
- Develop macro coding (using BQL - BlackRock Query Language) and facilitate compliance token development.
- Support project planning, data model design, and rule categorization for the consolidated OMS.
Compliance & Validation :
- Analyze compliance violations and provide crucial support for production issues.
- Execute rule and macro testing with meticulous documentation.
Project & Technical Support :
- Collaborate closely with risk, compliance, and technical teams to ensure seamless integration and validation.
Must-Have Experience & Technical Skills :
- Aladdin Expertise : Strong, demonstrable hands-on experience with the Aladdin platform, specifically with rule, macro, and token testing.
- Compliance Rule Expertise : Proven experience in coding and testing compliance rules, including strong proficiency in BQL (BlackRock Query Language).
- Data Management : Solid understanding and practical experience in data modeling, asset classification, and rule library management within an OMS context.
- Testing & Validation : Demonstrated experience with standardized testing procedures and comprehensive compliance analysis.
- Programming/Scripting : Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation. Exposure to scripting languages like Python for automation and data processing is a significant advantage.
- Financial Market Knowledge : Understanding of various financial instruments (equities, fixed income, derivatives) and their characteristics.
- Regulatory Knowledge : Familiarity with financial regulations (e.g., SEBI, ESMA, MiFID II, Dodd-Frank) is highly desirable.
- Version Control : Experience with version control systems like Git.
- Project Management Tools : Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools like Jira and Confluence for tracking and documentation.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial technology, specifically with Order Management Systems and compliance rule engines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
