Job Title : Logistics Domain Technical Consultant
Job Summary :
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Domain Technical Consultant with strong exposure to logistics and supply chain operations, IT systems, and enterprise solutions. The consultant will act as a bridge between business needs and technical teams, playing a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing logistics systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities :
Domain Expertise :
- Understand and analyze logistics and supply chain business processes, including transportation, warehousing, order fulfillment, inventory management, freight forwarding, and last-mile delivery.
- Provide domain insights and best practices to guide solution design and configuration.
Technical Implementation :
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, business analysts, product managers) to implement logistics modules or systems (e.g., SAP EWM, SAP TM, Oracle SCM, Manhattan WMS, Blue Yonder, etc.).
- Design and configure logistics applications based on business requirements.
- Ensure integration with ERP, CRM, WMS, TMS, and external carrier or supplier systems.
Project Delivery & Support :
- Participate in end-to-end project life cycles: requirement gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
- Conduct system and user acceptance testing (UAT), create test scripts, and validate data flow and process integrity.
- Provide post-implementation support and troubleshoot issues related to logistics solutions.
Client/Stakeholder Communication :
- Interact with clients, business stakeholders, and end-users to gather requirements and provide technical recommendations.
- Conduct workshops, training, and presentations to convey complex logistics and system concepts.
Documentation & Compliance :
- Create and maintain functional specifications, technical documentation, process flow diagrams, and configuration guides.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and data security policies in all logistics solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications :
Domain Skills :
- Deep understanding of logistics operations including inbound/outbound logistics, reverse logistics, 3PL/4PL, customs, and trade compliance.
- Exposure to global supply chain models and regional logistics nuances.
Technical Skills :
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP (EWM, TM, MM, SD), Oracle SCM, or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Understanding of APIs, EDI integrations, and middleware (e.g., MuleSoft, Dell Boomi).
- Familiarity with logistics tracking systems (IoT-based), GPS/telematics, and data visibility platforms.
- Hands-on experience with SQL, data analysis tools, or reporting platforms (Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
Project and Process Skills :
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum or Waterfall methodologies.
- Experience with business process modeling (BPMN), use-case documentation, and flowcharting tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart).
Preferred Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
- 4 to 8 years of relevant experience in logistics consulting or technical solution delivery.
- Certifications in relevant systems (e.g., SAP Certified Application Associate, Oracle SCM Cloud Certification) are advantageous.

- Effective communication and stakeholder management.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative team.
- Adaptability and continuous learning mindset, especially in emerging logistics tech trends.
