AI Platform Engineer

Mode of Hiring : Contract Workforce (CW)

Location : Bangalore Hybrid, 3 Days WFO

Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced AI Platform Engineer to build and support production-grade platforms for AI/LLM applications. The role requires strong hands-on experience in Python, LLM orchestration, agentic AI patterns, prompt engineering, API development, and modern CI/CD practices.

Roles & Responsibilities :

- Develop and maintain production-grade Python applications for AI/LLM platforms, with emphasis on scalable and maintainable engineering practices.

- Build and integrate LLM-powered workflows using orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, GitLab, AWS Bedrock, or Cortex.

- Design and implement AI agent workflows, including agent loops, state machines, ReAct patterns, tool calling, and multi-step reasoning workflows.

- Engineer prompts systematically with version control, testing, evaluation, and continuous improvement.

- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AI applications, platform components, and deployment workflows; strong GitLab experience is preferred.

- Work with GitLab pipelines, runners, environments, automation, and security controls where applicable.

- Design and develop scalable REST APIs using appropriate Python frameworks and document APIs using OpenAPI/Swagger.

- Integrate AI services, external systems, tools, and enterprise APIs into production workflows.

- Implement automated testing, deployment validation, monitoring, and quality controls for AI/LLM applications.

- Follow DevSecOps practices covering secure development, CI/CD automation, secrets management, dependency security, and deployment governance.

- Collaborate with AI engineers, developers, DevOps teams, architects, and product stakeholders to deliver reliable AI platform capabilities.

Candidate Profile :

- 6+ years of software/platform engineering experience with strong hands-on development exposure.

- Strong production-grade Python development experience; notebook-only Python experience is not sufficient.

- Practical experience with one or more LLM orchestration frameworks/platforms, such as LangGraph, LangChain, AWS Bedrock, GitLab AI capabilities, or Cortex.

- Good understanding of Agentic AI concepts, including agent loops, state machines, ReAct patterns, tool calling, and workflow orchestration.

- Experience treating prompt engineering as an engineering discipline, including prompt versioning, testing, evaluation, and optimization.

- Strong understanding of CI/CD and deployment automation; GitLab CI/CD is highly preferred.

- Experience designing and consuming REST APIs, with knowledge of OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.

- Good understanding of cloud, containers, security, automation, and DevSecOps practices.

- Ability to work in a production engineering environment and collaborate across AI, platform, DevOps, and development teams.
