AI Engineering Manager - Machine Learning Solutions

About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced and technically strong AI Engineering Manager to lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable AI/ML solutions for advanced healthcare and medical imaging applications.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, and AI system architecture, along with proven leadership experience in managing high-performing AI engineering teams.

This role requires a balance of hands-on technical contribution, strategic thinking, project ownership, and people management to drive innovation and business impact through AI technologies.

Key Responsibilities :

AI/ML Solution Development :

- Architect scalable and production-ready AI systems for healthcare and medical imaging applications.

- Drive research and implementation of advanced Deep Learning and Computer Vision algorithms.

- Develop and optimize models using CNNs, Transformers, and other state-of-the-art architectures.

- Ensure model accuracy, scalability, reliability, and performance in production environments.

Medical Imaging & Healthcare AI :

- Collaborate with domain experts, clinicians, and research teams to build healthcare-focused AI products.

- Ensure AI solutions adhere to healthcare data standards, privacy, and compliance requirements where applicable.

Engineering & Architecture :

- Drive development using Python and/or C++ for high-performance AI applications.

- Oversee model training pipelines, deployment workflows, MLOps practices, and cloud integrations.

- Ensure robust system architecture, scalability, maintainability, and performance optimization.

Team Leadership & Mentorship :

- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, technical excellence, and continuous learning.

- Conduct technical reviews, performance evaluations, and skill development initiatives.

- Support hiring and team expansion activities for AI engineering functions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration :

- Coordinate project timelines, resource planning, and delivery milestones across teams.

- Present technical solutions, progress updates, and AI strategy recommendations to stakeholders.

Innovation & Research :

- Evaluate emerging tools, frameworks, and methodologies to improve AI capabilities and development efficiency.

- Contribute to innovation initiatives, prototypes, patents, or research publications where applicable.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 6+ years of experience in AI/ML development with at least 2+ years in a technical leadership or managerial role.

- Strong expertise in Deep Learning, Computer Vision, and Machine Learning algorithms.

- Hands-on experience with CNNs, Transformers, and modern AI architectures.

- Experience in medical imaging, healthcare AI, or biomedical AI applications is highly preferred.

- Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++.

- Experience with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, OpenCV, ONNX, etc.

- Exposure to MLOps, model deployment, cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, or scalable AI infrastructure is preferred.

- Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, and engineering best practices.

- Excellent problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Exposure to Generative AI, Multimodal AI, or Large Language Models (LLMs).

- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

- Prior experience managing distributed or cross-functional AI teams.

- Publications, patents, or research contributions in AI/ML are an added advantage.
