Job Title : AI & Cloud Infrastructure Engineer - Fintech AI/ML Systems

Location : Mumbai (Onsite)

About the Role :

As an AI & Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will design, implement, and manage scalable data and cloud platforms that enable AI/ML workflows, analytics, and real-time decision systems. You will work at the intersection of data engineering, cloud architecture, and MLOps to ensure reliability, performance, and compliance across all fintech systems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and maintain scalable data pipelines, data lakes, and feature stores for AI and ML use cases.

- Set up and manage Kubernetes-based compute clusters, container registries, and CI/CD pipelines for ML model delivery.

- Collaborate with Data Scientists and MLOps Engineers to automate training, deployment, and monitoring workflows.

- Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation.

- Ensure security, compliance, and reliability of data and model pipelines following RBI, GDPR, and data localization norms.

- Manage real-time data streaming and ingestion frameworks (Kafka, Kinesis, or Pub/Sub).

- Build and maintain observability stacks (logging, monitoring, alerting) for data and ML systems.

- Optimize cloud costs, compute resource allocation, and storage performance.

- Document architecture, configuration, and operational standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Experience : 4- 8 years in data infrastructure, cloud architecture, or MLOps roles (preferably in fintech, banking, or payment systems).

Technical Skills :

- Hands-on experience with data engineering tools - Spark, Airflow, Kafka, dbt.

- Proficiency in Python or Go, and strong understanding of SQL/NoSQL systems (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra).

- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

- Proficient in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).

- Knowledge of networking, security groups, and IAM policies in cloud environments.

- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD).

Bonus Skills :

- Exposure to monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).

- Understanding of fintech data pipelines (transactions, fraud, credit scoring).

Soft Skills :

- Strong ownership and ability to work in agile teams.

- Effective communication and documentation skills.

Compliance & Security Awareness :

- Experience implementing data encryption, key management, and masking mechanisms.
