AgileEngine - Full Stack Developer - Node.js/React.js

Role Overview :

We are looking for a hands-on Full Stack Developer to rebuild, deploy, and maintain a modern web application migrating from Heroku to AWS.

The role involves end-to-end ownership of frontend, backend, infrastructure setup, and deployment workflows, working closely with the founding team and technical partners.

- Rebuild, deploy, and stabilize an existing full stack web application migrated from Heroku to AWS.

- Deploy and configure the frontend application for production readiness.

- Deploy, configure, and optimize backend services with a focus on performance, reliability, and scalability.

- Design and maintain RESTful APIs and application architecture.

- Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js (NestJS or similar frameworks).

- Set up and manage PostgreSQL databases, including schema design and migrations.

- Ensure data integrity, performance optimization, and secure access.

- Work with AWS services including ECS/Fargate, RDS, S3, and Cognito.

- Containerize applications using Docker and support cloud-native deployments.

- Ensure applications run reliably in a scalable AWS environment.

- Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and performance issues.

- Collaborate with the founding team and external technical partners to align on requirements

and priorities.

- Document setup steps, deployment processes, and key architectural decisions.

- Support or enhance CI/CD pipelines as required.

- 2 - 4 years of professional experience as a Full Stack Developer.

- Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript/TypeScript.

- Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as Next.js or React.

- Experience building and maintaining Node.js backends (NestJS or similar).

- Basic to intermediate experience with AWS and cloud-based deployments.

- Working knowledge of PostgreSQL and database migrations.

- Experience with Docker and containerized applications.

- Solid understanding of REST APIs and web application architecture.

- Ability to work independently within a well-defined scope.

- Clear written and verbal communication skills in a remote/distributed environment.

- Experience migrating applications from Heroku to AWS.

- Familiarity with AWS Cognito and authentication flows.

- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions.

- Prior experience working in startups or small, fast-paced teams.

- Interest in long-term collaboration and ongoing application maintenance
