About the Role :
Responsibilities :
UI/UX Design & Development :
- Design, develop, and maintain responsive and accessible UI components within the ServiceNow platform using advanced HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Leverage the ServiceNow Service Portal framework to create engaging and user-friendly interfaces.
- Customize and enhance ServiceNow Service Portal, Workspaces, Catalog Items, and Dashboards to meet specific business needs and user expectations.
- Apply comprehensive UI/UX best practices, principles, and methodologies to significantly improve usability, accessibility (WCAG compliance), and overall performance across all ServiceNow applications.
- Ensure strict consistency with established brand standards and design systems across all ServiceNow interfaces, promoting a cohesive visual identity.
Collaboration & Communication :
ServiceNow solutions.
- Participate actively in design reviews, providing constructive feedback and insights to optimize the user experience.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance :
- Perform regular maintenance and updates to ensure the stability and optimal performance of developed UI components.
Continuous Improvement & Knowledge Sharing :
- Actively contribute to knowledge sharing within the team, mentoring junior developers (if applicable) and promoting a culture of continuous learning.
Mandatory Skills :
- Expert-level proficiency in semantic HTML5.- Advanced proficiency in CSS3, including responsive design techniques (Flexbox, Grid), preprocessors (Sass/Less), and animation.
- Strong expertise in vanilla JavaScript, ES6+, and modern JavaScript frameworks/libraries (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) as they relate to ServiceNow development.
- In-depth, hands-on experience with the ServiceNow Service Portal framework, including widgets, pages, themes, and portal configurations.
- Demonstrated strong understanding and practical application of UI/UX best practices, including usability principles, information architecture, interaction design, and accessibility standards (WCAG).
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have) :
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Understanding of ServiceNow scripting (Server-side & Client-side).
- Portfolio showcasing previous UI/UX work in ServiceNow or similar platforms.
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or Certified System Administrator (CSA) certifications.
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 8 years of dedicated experience in front-end development with a strong focus on UI/UX, specifically within the ServiceNow platform.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex UI/UX solutions in enterprise environments.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
