Job Description :

The SAP GTS Lead Consultant will be responsible for providing expert guidance, configuration, and support across the SAP GTS landscape.

This includes, but is not limited to, the following key areas :

Compliance Management :

Master Data :

- Design, configure, and maintain GTS-specific master data, including legal regulations, product classifications (ECCN, HTS), sanctioned party lists, and embargoed countries.

- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and alignment with business requirements and regulatory changes.

- Experience with data migration strategies and tools for GTS master data.

Sanctioned Party List (SPL) Screening :

- Configure and optimize SPL screening processes, including integration with external SPL providers and internal systems.

- Manage and troubleshoot SPL screening results, false positives, and blocked documents.

- Define and refine SPL screening rules and strategies to minimize risk while maintaining business flow.

Export Management :

- Implement and optimize export control functionalities, including license determination, export declarations, and legal control checks.

- Configure and manage export licenses, agreements, and restrictions.

- Ensure compliance with various export regulations (e.g., ITAR, EAR).

Import Management :

- Configure and optimize import processes, including import declarations, customs duties, and import control checks.

- Manage import licenses, quotas, and preferences.

- Ensure compliance with import regulations and facilitate smooth customs clearance.

Customs Management :

Export Customs :

- Configure and manage export declarations (e.g., AES filing in the US, EX in EU) and their integration with ECC/S/4HANA.

- Automate customs document creation and submission processes.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to export customs declarations.

Import Customs :

- Configure and manage import declarations and their integration with ECC/S/4HANA.

- Implement and optimize customs duty calculation and payment processes.

- Handle customs-related master data for imports (e.g., customs procedures, tariff numbers).

Customs Master Data :

- Define and maintain customs-specific master data, including customs offices, customs procedures, and valuation methods.

- Ensure accurate and up-to-date customs master data for efficient customs processing.

Risk Management :

Preference Processing :

- Implement and optimize preference determination processes (e.g., Free Trade Agreements like NAFTA, ASEAN, etc.)

- Configure rules for origin determination and preference calculation.

- Generate and manage preference certificates and vendor declarations.

Mandatory Skills :

- 10+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Global Trade Services (GTS).

- In-depth functional and configuration expertise across all modules of SAP GTS, specifically Compliance Management (SPL, Export, Import), Customs Management (Export, Import), and Risk Management (Preference Processing).

- Strong understanding of global trade regulations, customs procedures, and compliance requirements.

- Proven experience in SAP GTS master data management.

- Experience with integration points between SAP GTS and other SAP modules (ECC/S/4HANA SD, MM).

- Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and configure SAP GTS accordingly.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong documentation and presentation skills.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have) :

- Experience with SAP S/4HANA integration.

- Knowledge of SAP GTS support pack upgrades and enhancement packages.
