About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced AEM Developer with strong expertise in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Java, and modern web technologies to develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise-grade digital experience platforms.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AEM 6.5, component development, templates, workflows, integrations, and content management solutions. The role involves collaborating with architects, business stakeholders, UX teams, and developers to build scalable, high-performance, and customer-centric digital experiences.

This position offers an opportunity to work on large-scale digital transformation initiatives while leveraging the Adobe Experience Cloud ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities :

1. AEM Development & Customization :

- Design, develop, and maintain applications using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) 6.5.

- Develop reusable AEM components, templates, dialogs, workflows, and services.

- Customize and extend AEM functionalities based on business requirements.

- Implement content management solutions and digital experience platforms.

- Ensure adherence to AEM development best practices and coding standards.

2. Backend Development :

- Develop custom services and business logic using Java.

- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and integrations.

- Work with AEM backend frameworks including Sling, OSGi, and JCR.

- Troubleshoot and resolve application performance and functionality issues.

- Ensure scalability, security, and maintainability of applications.

3. Frontend Development :

- Develop responsive and interactive user interfaces using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and HTL (Sightly).

- Collaborate with UI/UX teams to implement engaging digital experiences.

- Optimize frontend performance and accessibility standards.

- Ensure seamless integration between frontend and backend systems.

4. AEM Architecture & Content Management :

- Work extensively with the AEM technology stack including Sling, OSGi, CRX, JCR, and HTL.

- Configure and manage content structures, templates, and authoring environments.

- Support content migration and digital asset management initiatives.

- Develop and maintain AEM workflows and content approval processes.

5. Integration & Deployment :

- Integrate AEM with external systems, APIs, and Adobe Experience Cloud solutions.

- Support deployment activities across development, testing, and production environments.

- Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD implementation and release management.

- Participate in code reviews, testing, and quality assurance activities.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 4-10 years of experience in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) development.

- Strong hands-on experience with AEM 6.5.

- Proficiency in Java (Java 11 preferred).

- Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.

- Experience with AEM technologies including : OSGi, Apache Sling, CRX/JCR, and HTL (Sightly).

- Experience developing AEM Components, Templates, Workflows, and Services.

- Understanding of REST APIs and web application architecture.
