We are seeking a highly experienced AEM Architect to lead the migration of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) from On-Premise or Adobe Managed Services (AMS) to AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS).
The role will involve working through the full lifecycle of the migration from discovery and assessment, solution architecture, to implementation and post-migration support.
The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in AEM (6.x and Cloud), strong understanding of cloud-native paradigms, and a proven track record in successful AEM transformations.
Required Skills and Experience :
- 10+ years of experience in AEM BE development and architecture (including 6.x versions).
- At least 1 to 2 successful end-to-end AEM to AEMaaCS migration projects.
- Strong understanding of AEMaaCS architecture, Cloud Manager, and cloud-native development best practices.
Deep experience in :
- Editable templates, Core Components, Sling Models
- Dispatcher configuration and optimization
- CI/CD tools including Adobe Cloud Manager
- Java, OSGi, Sling, JCR, Sightly/HTL
- Familiarity with content migration tooling (e.g., Content Transfer Tool, ACS Commons).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skills.
- Experience in DevOps tools: Git, Jenkins, SonarQube.
Key Responsibilities :
Discovery Phase :
- Engage with business and IT stakeholders to gather and assess current AEM landscape (On-Premise/AMS).
- Define the cloud-native architecture aligned with Adobe best practices.
- Design future-state solution including content migration strategy, refactoring needs, CI/CD pipeline design, and integration patterns.
- Provide recommendations for modernizing legacy code and adopting AEMaaCS development paradigms (e.g., editable templates, Core Components, Sling Models).
- Create a phased migration roadmap with risk mitigation strategies.
Implementation Phase :
- Lead and guide development teams during refactoring, re-platforming, and migration execution.
- Oversee the setup of Adobe Cloud Manager, Git repositories, pipelines, and quality gates.
- Coordinate content migration, validation, and post-migration testing.
- Resolve migration issues including dispatcher configurations, replication agents, workflows, and performance tuning.
