About the Role :


We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Head of Engineering to lead our high-performing engineering team.

The ideal candidate is a senior technology leader with deep expertise in real-time systems, distributed architecture, and time-series data management, using tools like Kafka, Redis, InfluxDB, and Python.

You will be responsible for scaling our engineering processes, driving architectural decisions, and mentoring a team of skilled developers.

Key Responsibilities :


- Lead and grow a team of engineers across multiple products and projects.

- Architect and optimize real-time data pipelines using Apache Kafka and Redis.

- Oversee development and integration of time-series databases (InfluxDB/others) for high-volume data capture.


- Guide best practices for Python development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

- Own end-to-end delivery of software products with high performance, reliability, and scalability.


- Collaborate with product and data teams to define roadmaps, priorities, and success metrics.

- Ensure quality engineering standards, code reviews, and DevOps practices.

- Drive innovation and evaluate new tools, frameworks, and patterns.

- Mentor and coach team members for career development and technical growth.

Requirements :


- 10+ years of engineering experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role.

- Proven track record of building and scaling engineering teams.

- Strong hands-on experience with :

1. Apache Kafka (data pipelines, stream processing).


2. Redis (caching, pub/sub, distributed locks).

3. InfluxDB or other time-series databases.

4. Python (advanced proficiency required).

- Deep understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture.

- Experience with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).

- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
