Description : Adobe Tag Implementation Specialist

Location : Remote (India)

Duration : 6+ Months (Contract/Temporary)

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Data Capture Implementation Specialist with strong technical expertise in modern Tag Management Systems (TMS) like Tealium iQ, Customer Data Platforms (CDP) like mParticle, and the Adobe Experience Cloud. This specialist will be integral to the Data Capture team, responsible for the end-to-end implementation, maintenance, and optimization of digital data collection across our web and mobile properties, ensuring data accuracy for downstream analytics and marketing activation.

Primary Responsibilities :

Tagging & Implementation (Tealium & mParticle) :

- Design, develop, and deploy complex tag configurations, rules, extensions, and custom scripts within Tealium iQ and mParticle to fire tracking tags for various marketing, advertising, and analytics vendors.

- Implement and validate accurate data layers (e.g., DigitalData Object) across web (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) and mobile ecosystems, ensuring consistent data structure and payload for all tracking events.

- Hands-on implementation of mobile tracking via Tealium/mParticle SDKs, focusing on event instrumentation, user identification, and lifecycle tracking across iOS and Android apps.

Adobe Analytics & CJA Support :

- Implement and maintain robust tracking for Adobe Analytics (AA), including variables (eVars, props), events, processing rules, and visitor ID service configurations via the TMS/CDP.

- Provide implementation support for data streams feeding into Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) and Customer Journey Analytics (CJA), ensuring data governance and proper schema mapping.

- Utilize advanced debugging techniques to validate AA server calls and ensure accurate data population in report suites.

Cross-Functional Collaboration :

- Collaborate with engineering, product, and QA teams throughout the feature development lifecycle to define tracking requirements, review data layer readiness, and ensure successful deployment of tracking code.

- Partner with marketing and analytics teams to troubleshoot data discrepancies, ensuring the implemented tags accurately capture the necessary metrics for campaign measurement and business intelligence.

Documentation, Governance & Compliance :

- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation detailing tag implementation standards, data layer specifications, event maps, and deployment workflows for internal stakeholders.

- Ensure all data capture methods adhere to strict data governance policies, internal standards, and external compliance regulations (e.g., CCPA, GDPR, global consent management).

- Manage and test Consent Management Platform (CMP) integration with the TMS/CDP to ensure tags fire conditionally based on user consent state.

Continuous Improvement :

- Monitor tracking performance and conduct regular audits to identify and fix data collection discrepancies, orphaned tags, or performance-impacting implementations.

- Identify areas for streamlining tag deployment processes, leveraging the advanced features of the TMS/CDP for greater efficiency and reliability.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience).

- 3+ years of professional experience implementing, managing, and maintaining data layers and vendor tags via enterprise Tag Management Systems (Tealium iQ) and/or Customer Data Platforms (mParticle).

- Solid foundation in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for client-side debugging, custom script development, and manipulation of the DOM for data extraction.

- Expertise using debugging proxy tools like Charles Proxy or Proxyman for inspecting network calls, validating AA server calls (s-codes/payload), and diagnosing tag firing issues.

- Working knowledge of Firebase Analytics (event setup, DebugView, parameter validation) and/or Google Analytics (GA4) mobile tracking principles.

- Exposure to the Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) ecosystem, including Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target (A/B testing implementation), and the Data Collection capabilities.

- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities with meticulous attention to detail required for data quality assurance.

- Solid documentation habits and strong technical communication skills, both written and verbal.
