Job Summary :

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Automation Tester with deep expertise in Cypress/Playwright to design, develop, and implement a robust end-to-end automation testing framework from scratch.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about building scalable, maintainable testing solutions and ensuring the highest quality of our web applications.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and develop a complete end-to-end automation framework from scratch, tailored to the applications needs.

- Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams to understand business requirements, technical specifications, and testing goals.

- Write reusable, scalable, and maintainable test scripts in TypeScript to validate both functional and non-functional requirements of web applications.

- Integrate automation scripts into the CI/CD pipeline for continuous testing and rapid feedback.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues found during automated testing, including both test failures and application defects.

- Regularly execute tests, analyze results, and report on test coverage, defect discovery, and automation progress.

- Work closely with manual testers to convert manual test cases into automated tests and ensure comprehensive coverage.

- Ensure the automation framework adheres to coding standards, industry best practices, and design patterns.

- Monitor and continuously improve the test suites performance to reduce execution time and minimize false positives/negatives.

- Create and maintain clear documentation for the automation framework, including guidelines, processes, and troubleshooting steps.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 3+ years of experience in Test Automation.

- Proven experience in building and maintaining Cypress or Playwright-based automation frameworks from scratch.

- Experience with CI/CD workflows and integrating automation with tools like Jenkins or GitLab.

- Solid understanding of test automation principles, frameworks, and tools, specifically for web application testing.

- Deep expertise in TypeScript for developing test scripts and frameworks (Cucumber experience is a plus).

- Familiarity with version control tools like Git.

- Experience with REST API testing using Cypress.

- Strong understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and browser developer tools.

- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and provide solutions within both the automation framework and the application under test.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.

- Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter is a plus.

- Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
