Job Description ADAS Architect (Digital Cockpit & Infotainment Fusion Systems) :
Position Overview :
The ADAS Architect (Digital Cockpit & Infotainment Fusion) will be responsible for architecting and integrating ADAS domain functionalities such as surround view, driver monitoring, and camera-based perception into the Digital Cockpit ecosystem.
This role demands strong expertise in system architecture, perception pipeline integration, and cross-domain interfacing between ADAS and Infotainment software stacks on next-generation automotive SoCs.
Key Responsibilities :
- Define and own the ADAS + Digital Cockpit fusion architecture for multi-domain SoCs (Qualcomm SA8295P, NVIDIA Orin).
- Design system-level data flow and software partitioning between ADAS functions (perception, vision, sensor fusion) and Infotainment modules (HMI, rendering, audio).
- Architect camera ingestion and video pipeline (ISP, Vision DSP, GPU rendering) for surround view, DMS, and RVC integration.
- Define inter-domain communication interfaces shared memory, Ethernet (AVB/TSN), SOME/IP, or gRPC between safety and infotainment domains.
- Ensure system performance KPIs (frame rate, latency, and bandwidth) are optimized for real-time camera and perception tasks.
- Collaborate with HMI and graphics teams to render ADAS visuals (lane, object overlays, alerts) within the cockpit display framework.
- Define and review safety and isolation concepts (ASIL-B/D) across vision and infotainment domains.
- Work with platform vendors (Qualcomm/NVIDIA/TI) to leverage SoC-specific accelerators (CV, GPU, AI) for ADAS use cases.
- Lead proof-of-concept (POC) and prototype implementations for integrated cockpit-ADAS features such as surround view, DMS visualization, and AR HUD overlays.
- Coordinate with software integration teams to ensure QNX, Linux, and Android domain separation and inter-OS communication integrity.
- Define and document software architecture, interface contracts, and deployment strategies across multiple ECUs or virtualized domains.
Required Skills & Experience :
- Bachelors / Masters in Electronics, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- 14-19 years of automotive embedded experience, with minimum 5 years in ADAS / Cockpit system architecture.
- Strong understanding of camera-based perception systems, sensor calibration, and image pipeline processing.
- Proficiency in Ethernet-based automotive communication (AVB/TSN, SOME/IP, DDS, gRPC).
- Deep expertise in SoC-level integration on platforms such as Qualcomm SA8295P / SA8650 / NVIDIA Orin / TI Jacinto.
- Solid knowledge of AUTOSAR Adaptive, QNX microkernel architecture, and Android Automotive OS integration.
- Experience with GPU and Vision DSP frameworks (OpenVX, OpenGL, TensorRT, SNPE).
- Working knowledge of ISO 26262 safety concepts and ASIL-level architectural partitioning.
- Familiar with ROS2, camera HAL, and GStreamer-based video frameworks.
- Proficient in C/C++ and Python, with hands-on experience in debugging and system profiling.
- Strong leadership and cross-functional coordination skills (hardware, HMI, perception, platform teams).
Preferred Skills :
- Exposure to AI-based perception (object detection, lane recognition, DMS/OMS).
- Knowledge of cybersecurity standards (ISO 21434) and secure communication design.
- Experience with virtualized domain controllers and hypervisor-based separation (QNX Hypervisor / Android VM).
- Experience in integrating AR overlays, cluster-CID synchronization, or 360 visualization in digital cockpits.
- Prior participation in concept-to-production lifecycle for ADAS/cockpit fusion projects.
