Active Directory Administrator

Job Description :

User and Group Management :

- Create, modify, and delete user accounts.

- Manage group memberships and permissions.

Group Policy Management :

- Create and modify Group Policy Objects (GPOs).

- Apply and troubleshoot Group Policies for user and computer configurations.

- Ensure compliance with security policies and standards through Group Policies.

Domain Controller Management :

- Install, configure, and manage domain controllers.

- Monitor and maintain the health of domain controllers.

Active Directory replication :

- Monitor and troubleshoot Active Directory replication.

- Ensure replication is occurring smoothly between domain controllers.

- Resolve replication issues to maintain a consistent and up-to-date directory.

Security and Compliance :

- Implement security best practices for Active Directory.

- Regularly audit and review Active Directory security settings.

- Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and industry regulations.

Backup and Recovery :

- Perform regular backups of Active Directory.

- Develop and test disaster recovery procedures.

- Restore Active Directory in case of failures or data corruption.

DNS and DHCP Management :

- Manage DNS (Domain Name System) settings and configurations.

- Configure and maintain DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) settings.

Documentation :

- Maintain up-to-date documentation for Active Directory configurations and procedures.

- Document changes made to the Active Directory environment.

- Provide documentation for troubleshooting steps and solutions.

Collaboration and Training :

- Collaborate with other IT professionals, including Level 1 and Level 3 support teams.

- Provide training to end-users on Active Directory-related topics.

- Stay informed about the latest technologies and best practices in Active Directory administration.

Performance Monitoring :

- Monitor the performance of Active Directory services.

- Identify and address performance bottlenecks.

- Optimize the Active Directory infrastructure for efficiency.
