Accela Implementation Consultant/Developer - Civic Platform Modules

Job Title : Accela Implementation Consultant / Developer (5+ Years Experience)

Location : Remote Must work in EST Time Zone

About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced Accela Consultant / Developer to join our team supporting US-based government projects.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience implementing, configuring, and customizing Accela Civic Platform modules, including Permitting, Licensing, and Code Enforcement.

This role requires collaboration with client stakeholders, business analysts, and internal technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with project goals.

Key Responsibilities :

- Implement, configure, and customize Accela Civic Platform solutions (Permitting, Licensing, Inspections, and Service Requests).

- Analyze business requirements and translate them into Accela configurations and scripting solutions.

- Work on Accela Automation, Civic Access, and Civic Platform Administration.

- Develop and maintain scripts (JavaScript-based), expressions, reports, and workflows.

- Participate in requirement workshops, design discussions, and system demonstrations.

- Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and defect resolution.

- Support deployment, data migration, and post-implementation activities.

- Coordinate with cross-functional teams across US time zones and provide status updates during EST working hours.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 5+ years of overall IT experience with at least 3+ years in Accela Civic Platform.

- Strong understanding of Accela Automation, Civic Platform Admin Tools, and Civic Access.

- Proficiency in JavaScript, SQL, and XML for Accela scripting and customization.

- Experience with Accela Reports (Ad Hoc, Crystal, or SSRS).

- Familiarity with Agile delivery models and collaborative tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.)

- Excellent analytical, communication, and client-facing skills.

- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote, distributed environment.

- Availability to work in EST time zone (overlap with 8 AM5 PM EST required).

Preferred Qualifications :

- Accela Certified Professional (ACP) Implementation or Administration.

- Experience working with US state/local government clients.

- Familiarity with integration of Accela with third-party systems (GIS, Payment Gateways, etc.)

- Understanding of data migration and ETL processes for Accela environments
