Role Summary :
We are looking for a GCP Support Engineer with strong hands-on experience in building and managing cloud-native solutions on Google Cloud Platform.
This role combines development, cloud engineering, and platform ownership, ensuring scalable, reliable, and high-performing applications while also handling production environments effectively.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide L1/L2 support for systems hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Monitor cloud infrastructure, applications, and services for availability and performance
- Respond to alerts, troubleshoot basic issues, and escalate complex problems when required
- Support GCP services including Compute Engine (VM instances), Cloud Storage, and Cloud SQL.
- Assist in incident, problem, and change management processes.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of Linux systems and networking issues.
- Maintain logs, documentation, and knowledge base articles.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and DevOps teams to resolve issues.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and support playbooks
Skill & Qualification :
- Bachelors degree in computer science, IT, or related field (or equivalent training).
- Strong experience of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or any cloud platform.
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix fundamentals.
- Understanding of basic networking concepts (IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools and logging concepts.
- Basic scripting knowledge (Shell/Python is a plus).
- Understanding of ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
