Abinitio Developer

Job Summary :

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Ab Initio Developer to join our data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Ab Initio Graph/Plan development, ETL workflows, and data integration using large-scale data systems. A strong understanding of Unix, SQL, and data warehouse concepts is essential.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows and graphs using Ab Initio

- Build and optimize data integration pipelines for large-volume data processing

- Work on performance tuning, parallelism, and error-handling in Ab Initio

- Collaborate with business analysts and data architects to understand requirements

- Develop and implement data quality checks, validations, and transformations

- Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and perform data analysis

- Use Unix shell scripting for job scheduling and automation

- Support production systems, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data integrity

- Participate in code reviews and documentation of processes and architecture

Required Skills :

- 4+ years of hands-on experience with Ab Initio (GDE, EME, Co-operating System)

- Strong expertise in graph development, plans, PDL, and meta-programming

- Experience in Unix/Linux commands and shell scripting

- Proficiency in SQL with databases like Oracle, Teradata, or PostgreSQL

- Knowledge of data warehouse concepts and ETL best practices

- Familiarity with job scheduling tools (e.g., Autosys, Control-M)

- Good understanding of data profiling, data quality, and data governance

Nice to Have :

- Experience with Big Data/Hadoop ecosystems

- Knowledge of Air Commands, Continuous Flows, or Conduct>It

- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure (optional)
