Abhiwan Technology - Phaser Developer - Javascript/TypeScript

Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Senior Phaser Developer to lead the development of high-quality 2D web-based games. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Phaser Framework, JavaScript, and game performance optimization. You will work closely with designers, artists, and backend developers to deliver engaging, smooth, and scalable gaming experiences.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop, optimize, and maintain 2D browser-based games using Phaser.

- Build clean, modular, and reusable game systems and mechanics.

- Lead gameplay architecture and ensure high performance across devices.

- Collaborate with designers, UI/UX teams, and artists to integrate assets and deliver polished user experiences.

- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to game logic, rendering, or performance.

- Implement animations, physics, interactions, and visual effects.

- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and smooth gameplay on desktop and mobile.

- Mentor junior developers and guide them on Phaser best practices.

- Contribute creative ideas to improve gameplay features and overall quality.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 2 to 4 years of experience as a Phaser Developer or Game Developer using HTML5 technologies.

- Strong proficiency in Phaser (v2/v3/v4) and JavaScript/TypeScript.

- Solid understanding of 2D game mechanics, sprites, physics engines, and asset integration.

- Experience with game optimization, memory management, and performance tuning.

- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.

- Good understanding of browser rendering, event handling, and canvas functionality.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

- Creative problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.

Good to Have :

- Experience integrating APIs, leaderboards, or backend services.

- Knowledge of WebGL, Node.js, or React.

- Experience working in the gaming industry or on commercial game titles.
