Role Overview :

The ABAP Associate Developer is a core technical role requiring 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in software development, specifically within the SAP ecosystem.

This role is critical for building high-quality software solutions and platforms to advance the financial services industry, focusing on banking and insurance processes.

The incumbent will operate as a team member within a cross-functional SCRUM team in India and must have good experience with the modern SAP Product Technology Stack (ABAP, CDS/HANA, FIORI, OData).

Job Summary :

We are seeking an ABAP Associate Developer (3-6 years experience, Engineering degree mandatory) with proficiency in the modern SAP stack, including ABAP, CDS/HANA, FIORI, and OData. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated member of a cross-functional SCRUM team responsible for developing very high-quality software for SAP Fioneer's innovative financial services solutions. Key responsibilities involve contributing to high-quality code, utilizing modern SAP development tools, and ideally leveraging prior experience in SAP Banking Services or Financial Services application development.

Key Responsibilities and Technical Deliverables :

Core ABAP Development and Quality :

- Operate as a technical team member in a cross-functional SCRUM team in India, adhering to Agile development methodologies.

- Be responsible for developing very high-quality software with the team, ensuring clean, efficient, and well-tested code.

- Utilize Good experience in the product technology stack including core ABAP programming (OOABAP preferred), CDS (Core Data Services)/HANA for data modeling, and performance optimization.

- Complete development tasks within the SCRUM framework, ensuring code integrity and adherence to technical specifications.

Modern SAP Stack and Integration :

- Apply knowledge of FIORI development and principles for building modern, user-centric interfaces.

- Develop and consume services using OData protocol for front-end (FIORI) and external system integration.

- Leverage expertise in SAP application development principles and best practices.

Domain Specific Advantage (Financial Services) :

- Contribute domain knowledge or demonstrate Experience in SAP Transactional Banking or SAP Banking Services or SAP Payment Engine (an advantage).

- Apply expertise in any financial services application development (an advantage) to understand and solve complex banking/insurance process requirements.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications :

- Experience : 3 to 6 years of relevant experience.

- Education : Academic degree in Computer Science Engineering or comparable qualification.

- Core Stack : Good experience in ABAP, CDS/HANA, FIORI, OData.

- Methodology : Experience working within Agile/SCRUM development teams.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience in SAP Transactional Banking or SAP Banking Services or SAP Payment Engine.

- Expertise in SAP application development or expertise in any financial services application development.

- Hands-on experience with unit testing frameworks and performance tracing tools in SAP.

- Experience with Git or other version control systems for SAP development.
