Position : Presales Solution Architect Digital Infrastructure Management Services (DIMS)

Job Summary :
We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Presales Solution Architect with 5-6 years of overall experience in IT infrastructure, including at least 3+ years in solutioning or technical pre-sales. The ideal candidate combines technical depth with strong business acumen. You will act as a trusted advisor to customers, translating their business needs into tailored DIMS solutions. This role is a perfect fit for a professional looking to transition from delivery/operations into a client-facing role with ownership of the entire solution lifecycle, from conceptualization to delivery handover.
Key Responsibilities :
Solution Architecture & Design :
- Lead customer discovery sessions to capture detailed business and technical requirements.
- Analyze complex IT landscapes to identify gaps and architect innovative solutions across key DIMS towers :
- Data Center Operations : L1-L3 monitoring, incident, change, and problem management.
- Enterprise Networks : WAN, SD-WAN, routing/switching, and network monitoring.
- Storage & Backup : SAN/NAS, replication, and tape/cloud workflows.
- Workplace Services : EUS, VDI, patching, and remote support.
- Service Desk : Ticket lifecycle and automation with tools like ManageEngine or ServiceNow.
- Develop detailed architecture diagrams, workflows, and operating models to clearly articulate the proposed solution.
Commercial & Client Engagement :
- Partner with sales teams to effectively position solutions during pursuits, proposals, and presentations.
- Develop detailed effort and cost models based on service scope, resource estimation, and delivery assumptions.
- Create Bill of Quantities (BoQs) and pricing models in collaboration with finance.
- Contribute to RFP/RFQ/RFI responses with detailed technical write-ups and solution differentiators.
- Participate in customer pitches and executive-level presentations, explaining complex solutions in a business-centric manner.
Internal Collaboration & Knowledge Management :
- Work closely with delivery, transition, and OEM partners to validate service feasibility and effort drivers.
- Contribute to solution repositories and reusable assets to enable faster turnaround on future pursuits.
- Provide inputs to enhance service catalogs and go-to-market strategies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Core Experience :
- 5-6 years of overall IT infrastructure experience.
- A minimum of 3+ years in a solutioning, delivery, or technical pre-sales role.
Technical Proficiency :
- Strong understanding of ITIL-based Service Management, including SLA/KPI frameworks.
- Hands-on knowledge of Service Desk operations, End-User Computing, Networking, Storage/Backup, and Data Center Operations.
- Proven ability to design Visio diagrams and create Excel-based estimation models.
Soft Skills :
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- A team-oriented, adaptable, and a strong problem-solving mindset.
Preferred Qualifications :
- ITIL Foundation certification.
- CCNA or equivalent certification.
- MCSA or equivalent certification.
- OEM certifications or strong exposure from vendors like NetApp, Dell EMC, HPE, Commvault, or Veritas.
