Role Overview :
The Storage Administrator (L2) is a crucial technical role focused on managing and supporting the bank's enterprise-level Storage and SAN infrastructure.
This is an on-site position located in Navi Mumbai Arioli.
The role requires Hands-on experience in storage and SAN administration with specific knowledge of RAID, LUN, NAS, SAN, and S3 buckets, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability of data.
Job Summary :
We are seeking a skilled Storage Administrator (L2) to manage and maintain the bank's storage and SAN environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in administering storage volumes, LUNs, S3 buckets, and SAN zoning.
Key responsibilities include liaison with vendors for incident resolution, preparation of preventive maintenance calendars, performance analysis, managing data migration, and executing storage/SAN upgrades and code maintenance activities to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities and Technical Deliverables :
Storage and Volume Management :
- Execute Storage Volumes, LUN, Aggregate, Pool, S3 bucket, and RAID/Array group management across enterprise storage platforms.
- Perform NAS access control reviews and manage S3 bucket provisioning/configuration, ensuring adherence to security and compliance policies.
- Manage and execute data migration projects and provide governance for shared/common drive management.
SAN Fabric and Monitoring :
- Conduct SAN Fabric expansion and zone administration (e.g., configuring new switches, managing zonesets) to maintain a highly available and redundant fabric.
- Perform Monitoring health of storage and SAN application suites using native and third-party tools.
- Conduct Performance and space utilization trend analysis to predict capacity needs and optimize resource allocation.
Maintenance, Operations, and Vendor Coordination :
- Liaison with vendors for ticket logging, resolution, updates, and escalation related to storage and SAN incidents and support contracts.
- Prepare the Preventive Maintenance calendar and daily/weekly/monthly checklists to ensure proactive infrastructure health management.
- Execute Storage and SAN upgrade, code upgrade, and maintenance activities with vendors, minimizing impact to production services.
- Handle Incident, request fulfillment, and change management tasks following defined ITIL processes.
- Manage Certificate management and integration of new devices into the SAN and storage environment.
- Maintain accurate storage/SAN inventory and architecture diagrams and documentation.
Mandatory Skills & Qualifications :
Experience : Hands-on experience in storage and SAN administration.
Core Technology : Knowledge of RAID, LUN, NAS, SAN, S3 buckets, and storage service levels.
Troubleshooting : Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for complex storage and fabric issues.
Operations : Experience with vendor coordination and executing preventive maintenance.
Tools : Familiarity with storage monitoring tools and reporting.
Preferred Skills :
- Certifications from major storage vendors (e.g., NetApp, Dell EMC, HPE, Pure Storage).
- Experience with Fiber Channel (FC) and iSCSI protocols.
- Knowledge of ITIL framework for Incident and Change Management
