About the Role :

We are looking for a hands-on DevOps Manager to own the reliability, scalability, security, and cost efficiency of our production systems. You will lead a small but high-impact DevOps/SRE team while remaining deeply involved in architecture, automation, and incident management.

This role requires a builder mindset, strong cloud & Kubernetes expertise, and the ability to partner closely with backend, mobile, data, and security teams in a fast-moving product environment.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Platform & Infrastructure :

- Own end-to-end cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) across prod, staging, and dev environments

- Design and operate highly available, scalable, and secure systems supporting millions of users

- Lead Kubernetes (EKS) strategy including cluster design, upgrades, networking, autoscaling, and security

- Drive Infrastructure as Code adoption (Terraform preferred)

2. CI/CD & Release Engineering :

- Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions / Jenkins / GitLab CI)

- Enable zero-downtime deployments, blue-green & canary releases

- Improve developer velocity through automation and tooling

- Reliability, Monitoring & Incident Management

- Establish SRE best practices: SLIs, SLOs, error budgets

- Own monitoring, logging, and alerting (Datadog / Prometheus / Grafana / ELK)

- Lead on-call, incident response, and postmortems with clear RCA and action items

- Continuously improve MTTR and system resilience

3. Security & Compliance :

- Implement cloud security best practices (IAM, VPC, secrets, encryption)

- Partner with security teams on VAPT, audits, and compliance (SOC2 / ISO readiness if applicable)

- Own secrets management (Vault / AWS Secrets Manager)

4. Cost & Performance Optimization :

- Actively manage and optimize cloud costs (FinOps mindset)

- Identify infra bottlenecks and drive performance improvements

- Own capacity planning and scaling strategies

5. People & Stakeholder Management :

- Lead, mentor, and grow a DevOps/SRE team (36 engineers)

- Define clear ownership, on-call rotations, and growth plans

- Collaborate with engineering, product, QA, and leadership teams

- Influence architectural decisions and long-term platform roadmap

Required Skills & Experience :

Must-Have :

- 8-10 years of experience in DevOps / SRE / Platform Engineering

- Strong AWS experience (EC2, EKS, RDS, ElastiCache, S3, CloudFront, IAM, VPC)

- Production-grade Kubernetes experience (EKS preferred)

- Terraform (or similar IaC tools) in real-world environments

- CI/CD pipeline ownership in high-velocity teams

- Deep understanding of Linux, networking, and distributed systems

- Experience handling high-severity production incidents

Good to Have :

- Experience with high-scale consumer apps / OTT / fintech / marketplace

- Exposure to multi-region or multi-cloud setups

- Knowledge of chaos engineering or advanced SRE practices

- Prior experience scaling infra from early-stage to growth phase
