Job Title : Oracle PL/SQL & ORDS Developer.

Responsibilities :

PL/SQL Development :

- Design, develop, and maintain complex PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and SQL queries.

- Write efficient and optimized SQL queries for data manipulation, retrieval, and reporting.

- Develop and implement data validation and integrity checks within the database.

- Perform database performance tuning and optimization.

- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.

- Create and maintain database documentation, including technical specifications and design documents.

- Collaborate with application developers to integrate database logic into applications.

- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.

ORDS Development and Management :

- Design, develop, and deploy RESTful APIs using Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS) to expose database functionalities and data.

- Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms for ORDS APIs.

- Develop custom RESTful services using SQL and PL/SQL within the ORDS framework.

- Work with JSON data structures for request and response payloads in ORDS APIs.

- Configure and manage ORDS in different deployment environments (e.g., standalone Jetty, WebLogic, Tomcat).

- Monitor and troubleshoot ORDS deployments and API performance.

- Utilize ORDS features like Auto REST for tables and views, and PL/SQL Gateway.

- Create and maintain documentation for ORDS APIs.

- Integrate ORDS APIs with various front-end applications and external systems.

General Responsibilities :

- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical designs.

- Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.

- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Adhere to company coding standards and best practices.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest Oracle database and ORDS technologies.

- Provide technical support and guidance to other team members.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- 7+ years of proven experience as an Oracle PL/SQL Developer.

- Solid understanding of relational database concepts and SQL.

- Hands-on experience with Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS) development and deployment.

- Experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs.

- Proficiency in working with JSON data.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
