We are seeking a skilled MySQL Database Developer to provision, manage, and optimize MySQL databases in both clustered and standalone environments.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MySQL database administration, performance tuning, complex query development, and disaster recovery planning.

This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams and clients to ensure database performance, security, and availability, while supporting upgrades, migrations, and troubleshooting efforts across various environments.

Must have skills :

- Strong proficiency in MySQL database management

- Writing complex SQL queries (joins, routines, cursors, transactions)

- Database administration, tuning, backup, and disaster recovery

- Performance tuning and troubleshooting

- Understanding of MySQL storage engines (InnoDB, MyISAM)

Nice to have skills :

- Experience with MySQL replication configuration

- Familiarity with PostgreSQL or MongoDB

- Knowledge of MySQL event scheduler

- Proficient with version control tools (Git/SVN)

- Knowledge of MySQL

Job Responsibilities :

- Provision MySQL instances, both in clustered and non-clustered configurations.

- Database Administration, Tuning, Backup and Disaster recovery.

- Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases.

- Prepare documentations and specifications.

- Handle common database procedures, such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc.

- Profile server resource usage, optimize and tweak, as necessary.

- Collaborate with other team members and clients.

- Follow processes for change control, problems, incidents, service calls and manage the incident/tickets at provided tool.

- Should be responsible for Database tuning, Performance tuning, Database troubleshooting that includes rigorous performance checks/root cause/analysis of database instances using provided tools.

Required Experience :

- Should have 5 to 7 years of total experience with strong expertise as a MySQL Developer, including writing complex queries, procedures, and performance optimization.

- Strong proficiency in MySQL database management

- Strong proficiency in writing complex queries with Joins, routines, cursors, rollback and committing transactions

- Decent experience with recent versions of MySQL

- Understanding of MySQL's underlying storage engines, such as InnoDB and MyISAM

- Experience with replication configuration in MySQL (Nice to have)

- Knowledge of de-facto standards and best practices in MySQL

- Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL statements (Nice to have)

- Knowledge of MySQL features, such as its event scheduler (Nice to have)

- Familiarity with other SQL/NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.

Nice to have :

- Knowledge of limitations in MySQL and their workarounds in contrast to other popular relational databases (Nice to have)

- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as (Git / SVN) (Nice to have).

Educational Qualifications: - Engineering graduate or B.

Tech with relevant major subjects like Computer Science.
