Role Summary :
The Workfront Architect is the design authority for the Adobe Workfront platform. The role leads the upfront technology advisory and solution architecture (delivered in parallel with discovery), defines configuration and automation design standards, sets the environment, licensing and governance strategy, and translates validated discovery outputs into a buildable, signed-off solution design. The Architect ensures the solution is scalable, standardized across asset types, and delivered within the baseline scope, guarding the integrity of the design through build, UAT, and go-live.
We are purpose-driven. We enable healthcare organizations to be future ready and our customer obsession is our driving force. We ensure that our customers achieve what they truly want. We are bold in our actions, nimble in our decision-making, and industrious in the way we work.
Key Responsibilities :
- Define the Workfront platform architecture and environment strategy across production and sandbox/preview instances, including configuration design standards and naming conventions.
- Establish the data model and custom form design principles, workflow and routing logic patterns, statuses, milestones, and notification/escalation frameworks.
- Design the automation architecture within the Workfront ecosystem (Workfront native capabilities and Workfront Fusion), ensuring scenarios are scalable and future integration-ready.
- Own the reporting and dashboard architecture using native Workfront reporting for Executive, Digital Operations, Brand, and Agency audiences.
- Conduct the environment & licensing readiness assessment and remediation planning; advise on licensing, roles, and permissions decisions.
- Produce platform governance recommendations covering intake governance, template stewardship, and the administration model.
- Lead the Discovery Input Review, assess inputs against the Baseline Scope Parameters, and author the Solution Design and Scope Confirmation Statement for sign-off.
- Provide advisory input into discovery playbacks to ensure discovery outputs land in a buildable form.
- Serve as design authority through build and UAT, reviewing configuration against the signed-off design and managing design-impacting changes through Change Control.
- Define the access model (roles, permission levels, teams, groups) that underpins access management and onboarding.
Key Deliverables :
- Workfront Solution Architecture & Configuration Standards document.
- Environment & Licensing Readiness Assessment.
- Platform Governance Recommendations.
- Workfront Solution Design (signed off) and Scope Confirmation Statement.
Mandatory Skills & Experience :
- 8 - 12 years in digital/martech solution delivery, with 4 - 8 years hands-on Adobe Workfront in an architect or lead configuration capacity.
- Deep expertise in Workfront platform architecture : project templates, request queues/intake, custom forms, approval workflows, routing logic, statuses, milestones, and notifications.
- Strong command of Workfront Fusion automation design within the Workfront ecosystem (triggers, actions, scenario design, error handling).
- Proven experience designing native Workfront reporting and dashboards (calculated fields, filters, views, groupings) for multiple stakeholder audiences.
- Experience defining access models - access levels, layout templates, teams, groups, and permission schemes.
- Ability to author solution design documentation, configuration standards, and scope confirmation artifacts for client sign-off.
- Experience operating in a multi-partner delivery model and managing scope through formal change control.
- Strong stakeholder-facing communication; able to run design playbacks and advisory sessions with client teams.
Good to have :
- Life sciences / pharma experience, especially PRC / MLR review and approval workflows.
- Adobe Workfront certification (Core Developer, Administrator, or equivalent architect-level credential).
- Familiarity with content/creative production for websites, Veeva rep-triggered emails, Salesforce emails, display/banner ads, and social assets.
- Awareness of future-state integration patterns with Veeva (Vault/PromoMats/CRM), Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Creative Cloud, DAM, and BI tools.
- Exposure to KPI/metrics frameworks (SLA adherence, cycle time, first-time-right, throughput, PRC pass rate) and dashboard design for governance.
- Experience with Workfront environment/instance strategy and license optimization.
