Job Description

We're hiring for a leading Big 10 Consulting Firm headquartered in the UK.

Role: Workday Payroll System Administrator

Grade: Assistant Manager

Mode: Hybrid (2 Days WFO & 3 Days WFH)

Shift: UK (11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.)

Working days: Monday to Friday

Responsibilities: Your role will focus on system administration and back-end configuration rather than payroll processing. Responsibilities include:

- System Configuration & Maintenance: Configure and maintain Workday Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking modules to meet business requirements. Implement new features and functionality during Workday releases; manage tenant setup and regression testing. Maintain security roles and access permissions for payroll-related functions.

- Integration & Data Management: Support integrations between Workday Payroll and external systems (Finance, Benefits, Tax). Perform data audits and validations to ensure accuracy and compliance. Manage EIBs (Enterprise Interface Builder) for mass data uploads and updates.

- Testing & Compliance: Develop and execute test plans for configuration changes, enhancements, and Workday updates. Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, union agreements, and internal policies through accurate system setup.

- Reporting & Analytics: Build custom reports and dashboards for payroll-related analytics and compliance monitoring. Provide data insights to HR and Finance teams for decision-making.

- Issue Resolution & Support: Troubleshoot system issues and resolve configuration-related problems. Act as a subject matter expert for Workday Payroll functionality; provide guidance to HR and Payroll teams.

- Documentation & Training: Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, workflows, and processes. Deliver training and knowledge transfer sessions to stakeholders on system functionality.

Person Specification:

Experience:

- 4-8 years of experience in Workday system administration with a focus on Payroll configuration.

- Hands-on experience with Workday HCM modules (Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking).

- Familiarity with integration and data migration in Workday.

Skills & Qualifications:

- Workday Payroll Certification or Workday Pro (preferred).

- Strong knowledge of Workday tools: EIB, Calculated Fields, Workday Studio (nice to have).

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to manage confidential data and ensure compliance.

- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
