Workday Functional Finance Consultant

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Workday Finance Consultant with strong functional expertise in financial processes and ERP implementations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience across key finance domains and the ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and platforms.

Key Responsibilities :

- Participate in end-to-end ERP implementation lifecycle, including requirement gathering, design, configuration, testing, and deployment

- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into effective Workday Financials solutions

- Support and optimize key financial business processes such as :

1. Procure-to-Pay (P2P)

2. Order-to-Cash (O2C)

3. General Ledger (GL)

4. Fixed Asset Management

5. Budgeting, Grants, and Awards

- Analyze and troubleshoot system issues, providing timely and effective resolutions

- Prepare functional documentation, process flows, and presentations using tools like MS Visio and MS PowerPoint

- Work independently while managing multiple priorities and deliverables

- Ensure alignment with best practices and compliance standards in financial systems

- Stay updated with the latest Workday and cloud technologies

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 6 - 10 years of relevant experience in consulting or industry

- Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and processes

- Experience in at least one full ERP implementation cycle

- Exposure to Workday Financials or similar ERP platforms

- Proficiency across multiple finance domains (P2P, O2C, GL, Fixed Assets, Budgeting, Grants)

- Familiarity with cloud-based SaaS and PaaS solutions

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities

- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new ERP systems and tools

- Workday Financials certification (preferred but not mandatory)

- Experience in large-scale transformation or digital finance projects

- Prior consulting experience with cross-functional teams

- Problem-solving mindset

- Strong business acumen

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

- Effective communication and presentation skills
