Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced Workday Compensation Consultant with a strong background in configuring and optimizing Workday Compensation solutions. The ideal candidate will have spent the majority of the last couple of years working within the Workday HCM ecosystem, partnering closely with HR, Total Rewards, Compensation leaders, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable and impactful compensation programs.

This role requires a consultative mindset, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and deep functional expertise in Workday Compensation processes, annual compensation reviews, merit planning, bonus planning, and compensation governance.

Key Responsibilities :

- Independently configure and optimize Workday Compensation solutions.

- Configure and maintain compensation plans, eligibility rules, compensation grades, packages, and business processes.

- Support annual compensation cycles including merit, bonus, equity, and promotional planning.

- Identify opportunities to streamline and improve compensation-related processes through Workday capabilities.

- Partner with HR Technology and Workday teams to implement enhancements and new functionality.

- Gather business requirements and translate them into scalable Workday solutions.

- Manage stakeholder expectations, risks, priorities, and change impacts throughout project lifecycles.

- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Develop documentation, training materials, and process guides as required.

Required Qualifications :

- 3-5 years of recent Workday HCM Suite experience, with a strong focus on Compensation.

- Workday Pro HCM Certification (Good to have).

- Workday Pro Compensation Certification (Good to have).

- Experience with other Workday modules such as Workday HCM Functional.

Workday Functional Consultant Responsibilities :

- Engage with clients to gather requirements and document critical decisions.

- Manage the entire project lifecycle from planning and design through testing and deployment.

- Translate client business requirements into specific Workday configurations (Business process, Security, Notifications) for HCM, Recruiting, Talent & Performance, Absence, or other modules.

- Work directly with clients to analyze and document problems, recommend solutions, and initiate corrective actions.

- Prepare test scenarios & test cases and execute test cases in different testing cycles.

- Guide clients during testing cycles and prototype development.

- Coach and mentor new and junior consultants in best practices.

- Be open to working on both implementation and post-production support projects.

- Manage multiple parallel projects using exceptional organizational and time management techniques.

- Communicate clearly and concisely.

- Collaborate effectively within designated teams.

- Strive to innovate and suggest new approaches and tools to deploy Workday efficiently.

- Perform Design Validation and identify areas of improvement.

- Suggest and improve business processes.

- Prepare Training Material, SOPs, etc. for Workday processes.

- Conduct workshops, trainings, and knowledge transfer sessions with clients.

- Keep up to date with Workday releases and new features and provide guidance to clients.
